MISSION GUIDE // HOW TO USE THE APP
This guide explains the playful labels, date/time conventions, and the purpose of each major page.
CORE CONVENTIONS

Dates now default to MM-DD-YYYY for readability, and each user can switch between three common date formats in Settings. Time defaults to 24-hour / military format unless the user switches back to 12-hour time. The app uses playful labels like Sustenance, Ops Feed, and Macro Bus, but the underlying purpose stays straightforward: food, status, nutrition targets, and trends.

DASHBOARD

Daily command view

  • The macro cards show today or the selected mission day. Use the left and right arrows above macro_bus.sys to move backward or forward one day at a time.
  • The live fast timer turns into a historical checkpoint when you browse older dates. The red timer line also tells you when your feeding window can open if you want to hit the current fasting goal.
  • The activity feed, water panel, and digital scale all redraw for the selected day, so you can audit yesterday without leaving the main page.
AI OPS

Guidance and terminal-style coaching

  • Daily Guidance summarizes the latest trend picture in a few high-priority actions.
  • The chatbot can answer questions about trajectory, food choices, fasting, vice tracking, supplements, and the current plan.
  • When live AI is enabled by an admin, the model sees the signed-in user’s own goals, settings, and recent logs so the answers stay context aware.
TRENDS

Weight, sleep, burn, and fasting history

  • The Trends board now has its own date rail, but it uses the same mission-day state as the dashboard so history review stays aligned across tabs.
  • Each chart is clickable. Open the larger graph when you want detailed hover values and a bigger trend view.
  • Sleep duration: type 634 for 6h 34m, 800 for 8 hours, or 8:30 with a colon. The field auto-formats when you leave it.
  • CSV import is designed for fast backfilling. Re-importing the same day overwrites that day instead of creating duplicates.
SUSTENANCE

Food database and quick logging

  • Search from the dashboard or from the Sustenance tab. Favorites stay on the quick shelf, while the full vault remains searchable in the library modal.
  • Archive foods are reusable presets. Custom foods can be edited; seeded shared foods stay read only.
  • Packaged or common foods can use the saved serving size directly so you do not have to remember grams every time.
OPTIONAL SIDECARS

Vice, supplement, and fart tracking

  • These add-ons can be toggled off without deleting their history. Turning a sidecar back on restores its prior records.
  • Vice Ops is for alcohol, caffeine, and weed titration-style logging. Supp Ops handles powders, capsules, and stack timing. Fart Ops and Poop Ops are the playful kid-mode sidecars.
  • Both Fart and Poop Ops have reactive characters that get sillier as the day count rises. The visual chaos is the point — but the underlying trend data is still real.
SETTINGS + ADMIN

Profile, environment, and operator controls

  • Settings is where profile fields, units, workflow mode, feeding window, and timing preferences are stored.
  • Admins get extra controls for user management, runtime AI enablement, and alpha operations.
  • If you are unsure what a field means, use the separate USER_GUIDE_AND_MANUAL.txt file in the repo for the long-form reference.
PASSWORD RECOVERY
EMAIL RESET WORKFLOW
Enter the account email and the system will send a reset link if that address exists and SMTP is configured.
For safety, the response stays generic and does not confirm whether an account exists.

Use a strong new password. The reset token is single-use in practice because it becomes invalid once the password hash changes.
Minimum length is 10 characters. Reusing the emailed link after a successful reset will fail safely.

    FITBIT BRIDGE GUIDE
    CONNECT RENPHO VIA FITBIT
    This setup only needs to be done once per backend environment.
    1. REGISTER THE FITBIT APPUse a Server app for this project. If you do not have a company site yet, a simple public landing page plus lightweight /privacy and /terms pages on GitHub Pages, Netlify, or Cloudflare Pages is enough. Set the callback URL to your backend route ending in /fitbit/callback.
    2. ADD BACKEND ENV VARSPut FITBIT_CLIENT_ID, FITBIT_CLIENT_SECRET, FITBIT_REDIRECT_URI, and FITBIT_TOKEN_ENCRYPTION_KEY in backend/.env. For local testing, make the redirect URI exactly match the URL you register with Fitbit, including localhost vs 127.0.0.1.
    3. GENERATE THE ENCRYPTION KEYRun ./venv/bin/python -c "from cryptography.fernet import Fernet; print(Fernet.generate_key().decode())" inside the backend folder and paste that value into FITBIT_TOKEN_ENCRYPTION_KEY.
    4. RESTART + CONNECTRestart Uvicorn, open Settings -> Fitbit Cloud Sync, press CONNECT FITBIT, sign into Fitbit, approve access, then press SYNC NOW.
